Epifanes Rapidcoat is a quick and easy semi-gloss clear UV wood protection product that features a teak tint, offering excellent protection in various climates. It serves as a convenient alternative to traditional varnish. This superior quality finish enhances and protects all types of marine wood, both interior and exterior, over the long term.
Made with a modified alkyd/urethane resin and colour-fast pigments, it delivers a lightly tinted finish that protects against UV damage. Rapidcoat adheres well to teak and other oily woods, preventing discoloration while emphasizing the natural grain of the wood.
There is no need for sanding between coats, and it exhibits excellent weather resistance, flexibility, and durability. Rapidcoat can be used to renew weathered areas, serve as a stain prior to applying a varnish system (for a more even appearance, seal with Rapidclear before staining), or be applied over existing finishes. It's the ideal solution for those seeking a quick and easy satin finish with maximum durability, UV protection, and longevity.

Recommended System:

• Degrease bare wood with Epifanes Spray thinner for Paint and Varnish and sand with 220 grit dry abrasive paper
• Remove all sanding dust and degrease once more
• Apply by brush, foam brush, roller or spray 4-5 coats
• Stir well prior to use, so not thin and allow 5-6 hours between coats
• Sanding between coats is not required
• If top coated with varnish, sand with 220 grit dry abrasive paper
• Coverage: approx. 10m / 750ml.
